JUSTICE NITIN WASUDEO SAMBRE

Born on December 19, 1967 in Nagpur, Justice Nitin Wasudeo Sambre did schooling from Somalwar High School, Nagpur, obtained degree in B.Com from Shivaji Science College and earned degree in LL.B. from the University College of Law, Nagpur in 1992.
Enrolled as an Advocate on August 25, 1992 and practiced across civil, writ and criminal matters at all three Benches of the Bombay High Court (Mumbai, Aurangabad, Nagpur). Held key role of Secretary, High Court Bar Association, Nagpur from 2004 till 2007; Government Pleader and Public Prosecutor from 1st September, 2007 and Standing Counsel for Corporate Houses and Statutory Bodies, such as, Bharat Petroleum, Indian Oil, BHEL and council for bodies like Municipal Councils, Tata Sons and Godrej.
Elevated as an Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court on January 06, 2014 and Permanent Judge on March 02, 2016. Entrusted with additional responsibility of serving as Chairman of the Bombay High Court Legal Services Sub-Committee, Nagpur Bench; Member of the Governing Council of the State Judicial Academy, Chairman of the Executive Council of Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur and active member of the Judicial Officers’ Welfare Committee.
Justice Nitin Wasudeo Sambre assumed charge as Judge of Delhi High Court on July 21, 2025.
